The
Bollywood hunk John Abraham is very much likely to produce and star in an
official remake of a hit Hollywood film. A few days back Hrithik Roshan
confirmed that he is gearing up to step into Tom Cruise's shoes in the official
remake of "Knight And Day”, now its John’s turn. John production house has
already their initial necessary work to adapt the Hollywood superstar Gerard
Butler starrer ‘Law Abiding Citizen’, which is a thriller action hit Hollywood
movie of 2009. John will not only produce the film but also play the lead role
too in the film.
The news is that John has started the required process of acquiring the
official remake rights of the said Hollywood flick. Reportedly now days he is
talking with the producers of that film and as per reports the acquisition is
very much likely. If everything goes well, then very soon John will be able to
bag the official remake rights of the film in collaboration with an US based
firm. According to report that US based firm may co- co-produce a few more
films with John's own production house JA Productions in the future.
John has launched his production house this year with the hit “Vicky
Donor”, which was able to gather affections from both the audience and the
critics. According to a source John saw the film ‘Law Abiding Citizen’ few days
back. After seeing the film he fall in love with the story of the film and as a
result of that he decided that he should remake the film for Indian audience. It’s
quite obvious that he will make a few changes in the script considering the
Indian viewpoints in mind.
‘Law Abiding Citizen’ is mainly story of a simple man, who has to commit
multiple murders in order to target his own family’s killer. He has forced to
break the laws due to the corrupt justice system. Some tragic incidents to his
family lead him to seek the justice at any cost. If all have gone in the right
path, then John will start to work on Indian version of the film by mid 2013.
